Founder’s Note
Dear Customers,
My name is Nok Wongpensri, founder of True Thai Shop. Five years ago, my family and I moved from Thailand to Canada — a place we chose for its peace, safety, and balance. While running a Thai restaurant in Victoria, BC, I discovered something deeper: Canadians love Thai culture and flavors, but often struggle to access authentic Thai products easily.
Many people here face dietary challenges — allergies to nuts, eggs, or dairy, or choosing vegan lifestyles that sometimes lack vital nutrition. It reminded me of Thailand’s incredible abundance: fruits, snacks, and especially Wolffia, a tiny aquatic plant from my homeland, known for centuries yet recently recognized as the world’s most complete superfood.
That realization became my inspiration. Under the brand GREENOFIA, and later with the creation of True Thai Shop, I made it my mission to curate and share treasures from Thailand — products that are authentic, refined, unique, and exotic — directly with Canadians and Americans.
Every item we bring is more than just a product; it is a piece of Thai heritage, a story of culture and craftsmanship, delivered to your door with care.
